I'm a couple months behind on updating. Sorry about that!

I created a Facebook page a few months ago, but never got around to actually doing anything with it until today. I've created a news feed into the notes section, so if you have a Facebook account, you can subscribe to it. C-P.net on Facebook here.

Craig has narrated a new game called Jenarium: Rise of the New Sun. Visit the official website.

There's a small interview with Craig at 3news.co.nz. New US fantasy TV series being made in NZ

You can download the premiere 2-hour episode of Legend of the Seeker in two parts. They are .flv files, so you'll need a VLC player to play them. I know nothing about these files, so if you're having trouble playing them, try a VLC support group. These files are watermarked, unfortunately.

LotS part 1

LotS part 2

I did a pretty terrible job recording it myself in sections, but I can upload mine in MP4 format if anyone is interested.

The official site for Legend of the Seeker has updated with several videos of the cast, including one of Craig. See them here.

Also, there's an unofficial fansite for LotS, which looks to have a lot of great info from the TV show and the books. Thanks to Amanda for letting me know about it!

Sorry if you're seeing this post twice, but I posted on Saturday night, and it wasn't showing up on several friends' lists, so I'm posting it again.

I recorded the documentary "Making of a Legend" on my tivo, and was able to convert the file to a M4V, which should be playable through iTunes if you import it into your iTunes library. I was also able to play it through Quicktime.

Download the documentary here.

Unfortunately, if any of you have trouble playing it, I'm not going to be able to help you figure out why, as I know nothing about these file formats. PLEASE DO NOT upload this documentary anywhere else!

I also made a few screen caps of Craig, which I added to the new section of the photo gallery here.

I also started a page for the new TV series that you can check out here.

From IGN.com:

October 16, 2008 - The new syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker is premiering the weekend of November 1st, but viewers will be able to get a preview starting this weekend. The special The Making of a Legend will be airing beginning October 18th.

The special is hosted by Lucy Lawless, who of course starred in Xena: Warrior Princess. Legend of the Seeker sees Lawless' Xena producers, Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, return to the syndicated fantasy arena, having had tremendous success there with Xena and Hercules. Lawless is married to Tapert.

The Making of a Legend provides interviews and a preview with the executive producers, including Raimi and Tapert; lead actors, Craig Horner and Bridget Regan; as well as the teams responsible for the special effects, stunts and costume designs. Finally, our first real article on Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans, on the fangoria.com site here.

Makes me wonder how Craig's character is going to die. Will it be by sword, crossbow bolt or having his head chopped off?

about this journal
Craig Parker was a quiet, home-loving actor from the clean, green land of New Zealand. Not that much different from a Hobbit, except taller and without the hairy toes. To maintain his need for clothes, shoes and chardonnay, Craig played numerous roles in theatre, film and television. Life was good. Unfortunately, after playing demi-gods, Bellerophon in Xena and Lucius in Young Hercules, Craig's ego went mad and he started insisting on only playing immortal characters. Thankfully, Mr. Peter Jackson took pity, stuck a blond wig on him and cast him as Haldir in Lord of the Rings. And so he would have lived happily ever after, had not he pushed in front of Mr Jackson in the lunch queue and, strangely, that very afternoon, the script changed to have Haldir lead a troupe of elves into Helms Deep only to suffer an urk-hai axe in the back and a slow, lingering death in the arms of Aragorn. Craig currently lives in London where the shoes are fantastic.
